Kristina’s Corner

This summer stretched us, challenged us, and ultimately clarified who we are becoming. We brought new people in and we let some people go—but the deeper story isn’t about hiring or firing. It’s about growth, courage, and alignment.

For the first time, it wasn’t just me making the hard calls. It was my education team standing firmly in their values, and my salon manager stepping into her power to protect the balance of our salon ecosystem. Together, they showed what it means to refuse the status quo and to choose integrity over comfort.

I remind my team often: every day we march closer to becoming an employee-owned business. That means learning every aspect of how we operate—not just the services we provide, but the principles we live by. Staying true to our mission. Holding fast to authenticity. Guarding our integrity, even when it’s difficult.

This is more than a salon. It’s a movement toward wholehearted business. And seeing my team step into that vision reminds me: leadership is not about holding all the power—it’s about sharing it, so together we build something stronger than any one of us could create alone.

✨ I’ve also started sharing more of these reflections on TikTok—short, thoughtful videos about leadership, community, and the future of our industry. If you’d like to follow along, click here to watch.

With Gratitude

As we step into this new season, thank you for being a part of the Left Coast Salon community. Your trust, support, and presence mean the world to us—and together, we’re creating something bigger than hair. We’re building a space of connection, authenticity, and wholehearted care.

Here’s to a beautiful fall, to gathering with friends and family, and to continuing this journey side by side. We can’t wait to see you in the salon soon.

With love and gratitude,Kristina & the Left Coast Salon Team
